We get calls daily from people that have locked their keys in their car or truck. The biggest question we get is 1. How much is it to unlock my car? 2. How long will it take for you to get here. In order for us to answer your questions we need to ask you 2 questions first. 1. Where are you EXACTLY. 2. What kind of car and year is it? We can not give you an exact price without knowing this information. There are a few factors that can impact pricing for car locks-outs. How far we must drive to get to you, how long it will take us from the time we leave our location till we get back to it or the next job (TIME), and hat type of car you have. Some cars require special attention to unlock and may cost a few dollars more.

Generally speaking if you are in a 7 mile radius of downtown roanoke including near tanglewood all and valley view mall you will be in the $50-$60 range during day time ours (Before 8PM) – After 8PM all lock-outs are $80 in town unless you are very close to us at the time.

If you are in bonsack, Goodview, Hollins, In West Salem, or 15+ miles away it may cost a bit more depending on the time of day or night.

Keep in mind it takes an average of 2.5 minutes per mile to drive to most locations in average traffic. So if you are 10 miles away the drive time we have to get to you is 25 minutes, then we have to drive back (another 25 minutes). So, we spend about an hour helping you. Many people just see us pull up an open your door within 2 minutes and think that we only worked 2 minutes for $60.00 – We actually worked an hour, not to mentioned (if after hours) had to leave our family/home and come out at night (sometimes in the cold, rain, or snow) to help you. You are paying for time, skill, tools, training, and more.

A locksmith is a niche market and we require lots of training and classes and on-going training. You are paying for a service and we are happy to offer it, just keep in mind a locksmith is a paid service and not a “public service” like fireman or the like.

We love helping people and if we were millionaires we would offer this service FREE, but we are simple hard working people just like you (unless you are a millionaire lottery winner).
